A unique itinerary that combines the history of Pisa with the discovery of one of Italy's most prestigious wine territories: Bolgheri, birthplace of Sassicaia and the great Super Tuscan wines.
From the port of La Spezia, driving alongside the Apuane Alps with a view of the famous Carrara marble quarries, the day begins with a visit to Pisa and its famous Piazza dei Miracoli. After admiring the Leaning Tower, we continue along the Tuscan coast heading south, through maritime landscapes and pine forests until we reach Bolgheri.
The famous Cypress Avenue leads you to the medieval village, a gem of golden stone surrounded by vineyards. The cellar visit includes a guided tasting of DOC Bolgheri wines — full-bodied reds based on Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah — accompanied by local products.
On the way back, the coastal route offers spectacular panoramas over the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago.
