You then continue to Lucca, the city enclosed within its 16th-century walls: once a Roman camp, then a wealthy silk city and capital of the Napoleonic Duchy, today lively and charming with its squares and ancient monuments.
After visiting and shopping in Lucca, the day ends with a wine tasting and a light lunch in the Tuscan countryside, among vineyards and olive groves.
