Description

From Carrara, framed by the Apuane Alps and its famous marble quarries, you reach Pisa to admire Piazza dei Miracoli and the Leaning Tower. You then continue to Lucca, the city enclosed within its 16th-century walls: once a Roman camp, then a wealthy silk city and capital of the Napoleonic Duchy, today lively and charming with its squares and ancient monuments.

After visiting and shopping in Lucca, the day ends with a wine tasting and a light lunch in the Tuscan countryside, among vineyards and olive groves.
